Vincent Murray Architectural Designs (VMAD), was established in 2011 & is based in Rathgormack, Co. Waterford. With 20 years experience in the Architectural, Architectural Technology & Construction Industries, we offer a comprehensive design & management service for all elements relating to construction & property development throughout the South East. We have overseen the completion of numerous projects in the residential housing sector - one off houses, extensions & housing schemes commercial, educational, institutional & recreation sectors in Waterford, Tipperary, Cork & Kilkenny. Our extensive experience in all aspects of the design & construction industries ensures that we can offer our clients a one-stop shop for all their needs before they embark on their development projects. The scale of our completed projects range from small domestic extensions & renovations to large commercial, educational & institutional projects.

3D Modelling

All of VMAD's projects are designed on the latest 3D modelling software (ArchiCAD), ensuring the client can view & explore the design as it develops as if the construction of the project were already completed.

Residential

We have experience in the design & project management of hundreds of one-off houses, domestic extensions & renovations. The services if required by the client can include everything from formulating the initial thoughts for the project into a design brief, up to snagging & certification of the completed works by the builder, & everything in between. With the ever developing complexity of the building regulations, health & safety legislation, & planning requirements, it is important that anyone embarking on a project gets the right advice from day one, & that the full range of services & professional advice required can be provided by the one practice. Domestic Extensions
A badly designed extension to an existing home, whether it comprises of a small kitchen extension, or a larger project, can reduce the value of the house through poor planning or workmanship. For a small fee, VMAD's can ensure that you your home improvements can add value to your property through detailed design & inspection of the work as it is carried out, meaning you can rest easy that your money is being well spent. We can provide planning & technical advice, information on relevant health & safety legislation, budget costings & provide a list of reputable tradesmen, who will ensure the job is competed to best practice & in accordance with current building regulations. Vincent Murray has a broad range of experience in the design & procurement of all types of projects from retail fit outs completed on a tight timeframe to large school extensions completed on live sites. Vincent Murray is a Domestic & Non-Domestic BER assessor registered with SEAI. He also has experience in the design of passive houses & is familiar with PHPP software. Using this experience he can ensure that your project is designed to meet & surpass the current stringent regulations for energy efficiency. A building regulations Part L compliance check for third party designs is also provided.

Background

Vincent Murray, RIAI ArchTech, graduated from WIT, Waterford, with a Diploma in Architectural Technology in 1994, after which he joined Damien Dillon & Co., Architects working on a large range of projects, becoming an associate partner in 1999 & a full partner in the firm in 2004. In 2011, he set up his own practice operating from his home in the beautiful rural setting of Rathgormack, Co. Waterford. During the 20 years of his career, he worked on a huge range of projects throughout Waterford & the Southeast, designing & project managing development projects for many clients including:
